The Belle Professional C1 masterclass offers four of the most popular single strand techniques currently available, with two cold and two hot two cold application methods. Designed to be one of the most comprehensive courses in the UK, it is perfect for beginners and experienced hair stylists alike. On the course, you will learn the following methods in depth:

Micro Rings:

The micro ring method is one of the most discrete and popular single strand methods currently available on the market. The extensions are secured to the hair by a series of small metallic rings, usually made of nickel or alloy, called micro rings. These are threaded onto the hair and clamped into place. This method utilises iTip or stick tip hair, and the rings are usually lined with silicone to increase grip and prevent damage to the natural hair.

Mini Locks:

This method varies slightly from the micro rings, as the extensions are held by the application of small copper tubes. These are threaded over the extensions and closed onto the natural hair with the use of pliers and a loop tool. Mini locks are slightly larger than micro rings, but offer a very flat surface which allows the extensions to blend in perfectly with the client’s hair.

Micro Fusion Bonding:

Perhaps the oldest and most popular method of applying hair extensions in the industry. The hair extensions are tipped with a keratin based adhesive, which is heated and moulded around the client’s hair which produces a strong hold. As the bond is made from keratin (a natural protein) no damage is caused to the hair by the adhesive, and the application can last on average 3-6 months.

Easy Shrinks:

Easy shrinks is a single strand application which is similar to both the mini locks and the micro fusion bonding in its nature. A small keratin-based tube is threaded over the hair extension and applied to the client’s hair by using a heat tool. This keratin tube shrinks and fits to the hair and extension, causing a small sealed bond.
